Overview
The project TourXpeRience aims to transform Education and Vocational Training in the tourism sector by integrating modern Extended Reality technologies. These include Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality. These tools enhance teaching and learning experiences by applying digital content to the real world, making education more interactive and engaging.
This initiative addresses the lack of formal training in the tourism sector and the need for continuing education to keep up with rapid changes in the industry. By updating vocational training curricula and providing essential training resources, the project equips students with relevant skills, digital competencies, and environmental awareness. It also helps educators adopt these new technologies and foster a mindset focused on sustainable entrepreneurship.
The project promotes collaboration between vocational training institutions, higher education centers, third sector entities, industry stakeholders, and policy makers. This collective effort ensures that the project's results are sustainable and scalable, ultimately boosting the competitiveness of the tourism sector and mitigating its environmental impact.
