15 new CoVEs selected to begin in 2026 under the call for proposals ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-COVE.
The European Commission, through the Erasmus+ programme, has launched a new generation of projects Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), consolidating a model that places vocational training at the heart of innovation, competitiveness and economic transformation in Europe. With funding allocated amounting to nearly €4 million per project and with a duration of four years, these initiatives represent some of the most ambitious and prestigious schemes within the European training and skills ecosystem.
Newly selected CoVEs
The call for proposals has resulted in a wide variety of projects covering the following themes:
| OINOVATE – Agricultural AI & viticulture innovation EU-DRIVE – Disaster resilience and civil protection HumaNova – Humanoid technologies and human-machine collaboration CoVE SShaRP – Smart, secure and resilient ports VET5.0 – Education 5.0 and Industry 4.0/5.0 ERCULES – Innovation in the sales sector GREENCHEM – Green and digital chemistry | DiverseVET – Inclusion and diversity in VET systems PMEXCEL – Advanced manufacturing and powder metallurgy CoRe 5G – Resilient 5G networks and digital infrastructure REWINE – Sustainable viticulture and territorial innovation RestaCoVE – Sustainable catering and food systems RECEBA – Circular economy and SME innovation E.U-Re.C.o.V.E – Urban regeneration and social innovation CAAIVE – Agricultural AI and smart farming innovation |
Strategic sectors for the future of Europe
The new CoVEs clearly reflect the European Union’s priorities:
- Green transition: sustainable chemistry, circular economy, food, viticulture
- Digital trasformation: artificial intelligence, 5G, robotics, immersive learning
- Advanced manufacturing: manufacturing, automation, new materials
- Resilience and social cohesion: disaster management, inclusion, urban regeneration
Beyond training, these projects serve as innovation platforms applied to key sectors, linking directly to the labour market and the real needs of industry.

A collaborative model that is unique in Europe
One of the key distinguishing features of CoVEs is their collaborative approach. The consortia comprise: vocational education and training (VET) providers; universities and research centres; businesses and SMEs; public authorities; and sectoral associations. This model enables the creation of regional and European skills ecosystems, where education, innovation and policy work hand in hand.
GREENCHEM: excellence in sustainable chemistry
In this highly competitive environment, it stands out GREENCHEM – Network of Centres of Vocational Excellence in Green and Digital Chemistry, a project that addresses the transformation of the chemical sector by bringing together training, industry and applied research.
Skills Divers has led the design of the project, contributing his expertise in the conceptualisation of CoVE skills ecosystems, strategic alignment with European policies and the structuring of complex projects.
A tribute to excellence
The CoVE call for proposals is one of the most competitive and prestigious within Erasmus+, with high standards in terms of impact, innovation and the capacity for systemic transformation.
Skills Divers’ participation in GREENCHEM reinforces its position as a key player in the design of high-profile European projects, particularly in areas such as the green transition, digitalisation and the vocational training of the future.
