Under the slogan ‘Shaping the present, forging the future’, the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Region of Murcia addressed teachers to discuss key issues such as the integration of new methodologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Skills Divers, represented by its ambassador María Pilar Pérez Quílez, had the opportunity to attend the 8th National Vocational Training Conference: ‘Shaping the Present, Forging the Future’, hosted by the Consejería de Educación y Formación Profesional de la Región de Murcia at the Margarita Lozano Auditorium in Lorca.

These workshops, aimed at non-university teaching staff y centradas en el desarrollo profesional and the innovación educativa, abordan aspectos clave como la actualización de competencias, the integration of new methodologies and the adapting to the current challenges facing the education system. The following presentations were particularly interesting:
- ‘AI as an ally: a methodological approach to classroom application’, delivered by Mr Carlos Lindade of the University of Porto.
- ‘Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Vocational Education and Training (VET): Practical strategies for breaking down barriers’, by the award-winning Ms Patricia Santos Campos of IES Profesor Isidoro Sánchez in Málaga.
- ‘The Talent Challenge’, led by the psychologist and chairman of Auren Consultancy, Mr Francisco Javier Cantera Herrero.
In addition to panel discussions such as ‘Vocational Training: Challenges and Opportunities. A Perspective on Employability’ or ‘Best practices in vocational training’ and various activities of networking.

For Skills Divers, this type of initiative is particularly relevant. The content covered—which focuses on improving educational quality, incorporating innovative approaches and strengthening teaching skills—ties in directly with our work on European projects.
In particular, the ideas shared during the conference contribute to:
- Strengthen the design of training programmes that are tailored to the actual needs of the education sector.
- To incorporate innovative methodologies into projects related to vocational training.
- To enhance the impact of our initiatives in terms of skills development and knowledge transfer.
Taking part in this kind of event helps to keep the education sector regional level with European developments, thereby enriching the strategic approach of our projects.
We remain committed to collaboration, continuous learning and innovation as key drivers of educational and professional development.
